It's the last day of semester 1, in this class it was held by online using Ms. Teams.
Week 13 (25/11/2022)
In this week, Mr. Martin held the class by online using Ms. Teams.
Week 12 (18/11/2022)
This week is the same as Week 11, but we animate it in After Effect.
Week 11 (11/11/2022)
In this week, Mr. Martin gave some exercise for us to do in class which is animating on Photoshop.
Week 10 (04/11/2022)
In this week, Mr. Martin gave us some introduction on the final project and also an introduction on After Effect.
INSTRUCTION
PROGRESS
- Designing
Before I started making my self-portrait, Mr. Martin gave us some tips and tricks on how to animate in After Effect so that we can make our self-portrait animation later on. The first step of making the self-portrait is firstly I make a biography of myself.

After making the biography, now is the time for visual research. In this visual research I take 3 pictures as my reference on what I'll do for my self-titled animation.

At first, I wanted to make a new sketch for my final project design, but Mr. Martin said that I could use the photo manipulation design work I attempted to be the final project. So after hearing that, I am glad that I could reuse my work. Of course, I adjusted some colors in the design work to make it a little different.

- Animating
At first the name I put in the poster is my own name which is "Glen Owen", but after getting some feedback from Mr. Martin he said that use somekind of other name. After hearing the feedback, I instead use my alter-ego's name which is "The Wicked Raptor". Now that I am done with my finalized poster, it's time for me to animate this poster.

After I am done with my animation, I make it a loop and the duration for the animation is 18 seconds (because I want the animation to fit with the OST tone.

After getting some feedbacks, Mr. Martin said that I should add some lightning between the character and the background. It's an optional choice, but I decided to add some lightning png because why not.

FEEDBACK
Week 14 (02/12/2022)
The color is a little blend in with the background, but if I wanted to keep it that way Mr. Martin suggested to add some lightning between the character and the background

The color is too blend in with the background, Mr. Martin suggested to give some a little contrast on the background so the character can be seen directly.

The concept is bland, Mr. Martin said that try to change some color on the poster.

The photo manipulation technique in the poster is cool.
REFLECTION
I had a lot of fun when I animate my poster in After Effect. Although I face a lot of obstacle when I am trying to animate in After Effect because I am a beginner, for me it's a great experience. My favourite part of this project is when I was doing the poster. I used some blending modes on some of the stuff like the fire and background and the result mesmerized my eyes. Overall, I think that this project is the best project from all of the project I have encountered.
