EXERCISES

Exercise #1 - Audio Dubbing

    We had out first exercise for project 1 in this week. The task is to give an audio to a muted video that Mr. Martin gave from Google Drive. We are assigned to a group just to acquire some audio for some of the sound effect in the video. We had two weeks to finish this exercise and here's the process of me doing it.

    When I finished it, I just realized that there is supposed to have no music in the background. So I take out the music and here's the result

Exercise #2 - Sound Shaping

    Our second exercise for this project is to shape an audio that is given by Mr. Martin. We had to shape 3 audios into 4 different sound effect, such as:

• Underground cave SFX
• Toilet/bathroom SFX
• Voice coming from closet SFX
• Telephone SFX

• Process

    1. Telephone SFX

    To shape it into a telephone SFX, I simply use FFT filter from the Effect tab, select Filter and EQ, and select Telephone - Voice Mail.

    2. Underground Cave SFX

    As for the cave SFX, it has the same step as doing telephone SFX. The difference is that instead of choosing FFT filter, I went to "Reverb" and select "Convolution Reverb". In this point there is two choice for me to choose, which is the "Massive Cavern" and the "Medium-sized Cave"

    3. Inside the Closet SFX

    For this SFX, I choose Filter and EQ. Instead of picking FFT filter, I picked "Scientific Filter" and adjust the cutoffs so the I can shape the muffled sound as muffled as I wanted.

    4. Toilet/Bathroom SFX

    For this SFX, it has the same step as making the underground cave SFX. Instead of using "Medium-sized Cave", I picked "Large Bathroom".

• Final Result

    Since there are a lot of audio files (total of 12), I'll just paste the link into the files instead of embedding 12 of them in here which will takes a lot of spaces.
